Maria Luisa Segura y Magallon Troiani
Catalana di nascita (è nata nel 1959 in Spagna a Barcellona) si è trasferita
in Italia da ragazza ed è vissuta con la famiglia a Formello, in provincia di
Roma.
Appassionata dell’arte in tutte le sue declinazioni, ha
creato le sue opere nella profonda convinzione che l’artista, nella sua essenza, sia
qualcuno che cerca di trasmettere una sensazione, un’emozione profonda,
attraverso un suo modo di comunicare del tutto personale. In questa visione,
l’artista osserva, impara, approfondisce e si evolve, ma non copia. Si esprime nella
forma a lui più congeniale e che lo contraddistingue, perché ogni artista è unico,
come unica è ogni persona.
Luisa ha considerato ogni vicenda della vita, il quotidiano di
ognuno, una storia che può meritare il diritto di essere raccontata. Perché ogni
situazione ed ogni relazione provocano sensazioni, spesso ignorate ma che
l’artista può desiderare di rendere evidenti, soffermandosi su un particolare o su
un attimo ed elevandolo ad un momento d’arte.
Le opere giovanili di Luisa, caratterizzate da forme astratte
leggere ed elaborate incentrate sul divertimento di deformare
gli oggetti, si sono arricchite nel passaggio ad una vita più matura e consapevole,
sono state rigenerate dalle gioie e soprattutto dalla malattia. Lo sguardo si è rivolto
verso ciò che spesso sfugge e le opere, non più solo in bianco e nero, hanno voluto
riportare all’attenzione ciò che spesso non è notato.
L’anima ha abbracciato il quotidiano e la spiritualità. Che sia
un’icona esposta in una chiesa lontana, una scultura che parte
da una foglia, un quadro spezzato o una storia banale, l’obiettivo di Luisa è stato
fermare il tempo per un attimo nel tentativo di far riflettere, parlare al cuore dal
proprio cuore con immagini in cui i volti sono spesso abbozzati perché l’importante
è la situazione, non chi vi partecipa.
E se anche il tentativo non fosse riuscito, l’importante è che sia stato fatto, magari
in modo irragionevole.
In fondo si sa, in ogni artista alberga la follia.

Luisa has considered every event of life, everyone's daily life,
a story that can deserve the right to be told. Because every
situation and every relationship causes sensations, often ignored but that the
artist may want to make evident, focusing on a particular or moment and
elevating it to a moment of art.
Luisa's youthful works, characterized by light and elaborate
abstract forms focused on the fun of deforming objects, were
enriched in the transition to a more mature and aware life,
they were regenerated by joys and above all by illness. His
gaze has turned towards what often escapes and her works, no longer just in black
and white, have wanted to draw attention to what is often not noticed.
The soul has embraced the everyday and spirituality. Whether
it's an icon displayed in a distant church, a sculpture that starts
from a leaf, a broken picture or a trivial story, Luisa's goal was to stop time for a
moment in an attempt to make people think, speak to the heart from one's heart
with images in which the faces are often sketched because the important thing is
the situation, not who participates in it.
And even if the attempt failed, the important thing is that it was done, perhaps in an unreasonable way. Because you know, madness is in every artist. Maria Luisa passed away on March 8, 2023.
